Interest in garlic scapes is heating up, June 2013

Priceless garlic scapes at Haney Farmers Market, 8 June 2013

The garlic scapes were indeed at our local Haney Farmers Market this weekend.  As the price comparison sign centre court said “Scapes, only at farmers’ markets = price-less.”  Interest in garlic scapes or, at least, my awareness of them has been increasing recently.  I checked on WordPress for blogs tagged “garlic scapes” and discovered a seasonal march of news and recipes moving from south to north as the scapes come into season.
