Cheery and bright at Haney Winter Farmers Market 2013

It was warm and lovely inside the Golden Ears Church Hall for the Haney Winter Farmers Market 2013.  The younger set enjoyed the dazzling cupcakes from  Courtney’s Cakes while the rest of us scooped eggs from Riverside Farms, Brazilian cheese puffs from Otimo, and a mass of colorful Gerbera Daisies from Never Say Die Nursery.  We also picked up the winter edition of Edible Vancouver for our reading pleasure.  I regret not buying up some lovely leeks but we can stop by Never Say Die Nursery on Dewdney Trunk Road in Pitt Meadows sometime later this week. The folks who make the Market run have done a brilliant job these year and have earned a bit of rest.  That said, we will miss not having a market in Maple Ridge for the next several months.
