Coldest Night of the Year Walk 2013

Coldest Night Poster - Outlines.inddOn Saturday, February 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. The Coldest Night of the Year walk will take place in Maple Ridge. In support of The Salvation Army Caring Place – 22188 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge – The Coldest Night of the Year is a non-competitive 5- and 10-km winter-walk fundraiser supporting select Canadian charities that serve the hungry, homeless and hurting in cities and communities across Canada.  The walk provides participants the opportunity to experience a hint of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness by walking for a few hours during a cold Canadian night in the dead of winter.

Registration begins at 4:00pm.  Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm a warm, light meal will be served to all walkers and volunteers. So, be sure to linger with us afterwards, share some laughs, hang with some friends and celebrate the walk – at least till you warm up.
