Support Our Winter Farmers Markets 2012-13

Our own Haney Farmers Market has wound down for the season so we are in a little bit of mourning (as well as a little bit of resting).  EdibleVancouver reminds us that there are Winter Farmers Markets all around the Vancouver-centred region that we should be supporting.  For those of us with Farmers Markets habits that need to be kept up, here are some locations and dates through until May 2013:

Abbotsford Farm & Country Market, every Saturday**, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., year-round.  Montrose Avenue @ George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford, BC.  **NOTE from website: “Every Saturday until December 22nd, then break until January 26, 2013”

Port Moody Winter Farmers Market, Sundays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. December 2, 16, 30; January 13, 27; February 10, 24; March 10, 24; April 7, 21.  Port Moody Social Rec Complex, 300 Ioco Road, Port Moody, BC.

Royal City Winter Farmers Market, Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  December 1, 15; January 5, 19; February 2, 16; March 2, 16; April 6, 20; May 4.  River Market, 810 Quayside Drive, New Westminster, BC.

Squamish Winter Farmers’ Market, Sundays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. December 16, 23; January 6, 20; February 3, 17; March 3, 17, 31; April 14.  West Coast Railway Heritage Park, Squamish, BC.

Vancouver Winter Farmers Markets, every Saturday (except December 29th) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Parking lot of Nat Bailey Stadium, 30th and Ontario, Vancouver, BC.

“Real food from the people who grow it.”  Let me know if I missed any.
