Maple Ridge Garden Centres in the News

Steve Whysall made note of events and happenings at two Maple Ridge garden centres last week in the Vancouver Sun (“Triple Tree celebrates 50 years of selling great plants,” and “At the heart of Flower Power: Now we have even more great places to do our garden shopping,” Friday, March 23rd, 2012, page C4).  The reviews for both Triple Tree Nurseryland – celebrating its anniversary in style – and Trice Farms – under new ownership as of January 2012 – are glowing.  April 6th is the official anniversary for Triple Tree and is sure to be marked by a great event.

I was in the neighbourhood of Trice Farms over the weekend and stopped in.  They have new selections of seeds (Renee’s Garden lines) and plants and are wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly.  As much as I will miss the previous owners, I look forward to checking back in on Trice’s developments (which may include a change of name to Gather and Grow).  I haven’t been over to Triple Tree lately but I will need to look in in case there are some summer-blooming bulbs that will bloom for us in early July.  More lilies please?
